LFPL and the Louisville Orchestra are pleased to announce the fourth season of Once Upon an Orchestra, touring to all LFPL locations through October 2024 through March 2025. Families are invited to join LO ensembles for these fun, interactive musical storytelling performances. The tour will include past favorites, as well as new stories and songs. We’ll even make instruments from recycled materials so you can play along during the performance!

The grants are specifically designed to address critical needs, including social services, youth development, and arts and culture.

Community Services Funding: Supports agencies providing homelessness prevention and mitigation as well as essential services that enhance the quality of life for residents, particularly those addressing basic needs and promoting self-sufficiency. The EAF programs operate through competitive grant processes, ensuring that public funds are allocated responsibly to organizations that demonstrate the ability to make a meaningful impact. Through these grants, Louisville Metro Government seeks to strengthen partnerships with community organizations and invest in programs that promote stability, growth, and opportunity.
The Neighborhood Institute is a leadership education program designed to equip neighborhood leaders with the skills and resources needed to initiate positive change in the community through their neighborhood, homeowner, and condo associations.
Classes meet every Tuesday, 6 pm - 8 pm at Center For Neighborhoods Offices (1126 Berry Blvd. Suite 300), for 11 consecutive weeks (March 11, 2025 – May 27, 2025), with a Graduation Celebration on May 27th.
Dinner is provided each week. Attendance is free, but space is limited, and advance registration is required. Applications will be accepted through 5:00 pm on February 27th, 2024.
The Lucille Leggett Neighborhood Institute Spring 2025 is open to all neighborhoods, Metro Council Districts, and the whole community.
