The two new pickleball courts, funded by the District 10 office at a cost of $180,000, are between the existing tennis courts. They are open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., on a first-come, first-served basis.

Robin Brown said as someone who learned to play tennis on the courts at GRCP, she is glad to see the pickleball courts completed. Residents have watched the progress on the new courts and are ready to play. Lynn Hartmann was one of those enthusiasts, bringing her own paddle.

“I’m excited to celebrate the grand opening of these two new pickleball courts in George Rogers Clark Park. A big thank you to Louisville Parks and Recreation for overseeing the construction. These courts will provide a neighborhood space for the community to come together and engage in a little friendly competition,” Councilman Mulvihill said.
