The Tyler Park Neighborhood Association hosted an alley cleanup recently, giving neighbors a chance to get together, meet and mingle, and do a good deed cleaning up their alleys.

Thank you to TPNA board member Greg Zahradnik for his work on the board and for providing photos.

TPNA Alleys Committee Chair Mike Neal announced the award for best alley went to the alley between Royal Avenue and Eastern Parkway.

The award for most improved alley went to the alley between Rosewood Avenue and the Mid-City Mall, which Co-Chair Rebecca Watson noted is a challenge given that alley's high traffic and commercial use.

Second place went to the alley between Edgeland and Edenside. Finishing in third place was the alley between Mossrose and Rosewood.

The cleanups will be scheduled as a regular event.
