Residents of Jefferson County have three more opportunities to comment before the Louisville Metro Comprehensive Review Commission as it continues its review of metro government since merger. The 15-member commission was tasked by the Kentucky General Assembly with reviewing such things as the roles and duties of the mayor and the Metro Council, the taxing powers of metro government, relations between metro government and suburban cities, and the distribution and provision of services provided by different governmental entities.
The next meeting of the commission will be at Eastern High School on Monday, July 24 beginning at 6 p.m. Those who wish to speak can sign up as early as 5:30 p.m. Click here for more information, including videos and minutes of previous meetings.
The next Pop-Up Drop-Off event is scheduled for tomorrow from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Metro Fleet Services, 3515 Newburg Road.
