The 15th annual Forest Fest is taking place at Jefferson Memorial Forest this weekend and guarantees a day filled with Bluegrass music, arts & crafts, family activities, food booths and fun!

This event is sponsored by Metro Council and free to the public.

This is an all-ages, family-friendly event. It is free to the public with a $15 parking fee (cash only).

During the last Metro Council Meeting on (May 11th) Councilman Seum was the primary sponsor of a resolution with 11 other Metro Council members honoring September as "Law Enforcement Appreciation Month".

In the resolution the Metro Council rightfully acknowledged the selflessness and courage of the city’s police officers and law enforcement professionals who have bravely continued to meet the call of duty to ensure the security of our neighborhoods and communities at the risk of their own personal safety. 

The Council encourages residents and businesses in Metro to show their appreciation to police officers and law enforcement professionals through acts of kindness and appreciation to those protecting our community. 

In District 13 consider showing your appreciation to the LMPD 3rd & 7th Divisions! Some suggestions would be to bring them lunch, thank you cards, dropping off snacks, drinks or even gift cards.
