Louisville Metro Government will begin accepting applications Wednesday from local non-profits interested in External Agency Fund grants. These grants, funded through the city's General Fund, are awarded for the upcoming fiscal year (July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024).
There are three funding programs available: Social Services, Arts and Creative Industries, and Youth Engagement. For Social Services, the areas of focus are decreasing homelessness, increasing household financial stability, and increasing access to services/resources for a targeted population. For Arts and Creative Industries, the focus is on arts experiences for everyone, creative workforce, and creative community spaces/neighborhoods. Finally, the Youth Engagement funding program will assist non-profits that seek to provide young people access to needed resources/services, increase youth engagement in development opportunities and quality programming, or create opportunities for youth to re-engage with education and improve educational outcomes.
All agencies wishing to apply should have at least one representative attend the virtual orientation on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until noon. The application window for each of the three areas will be open at 8 a.m. the following day.
