Town Hall Meeting, Floyd’s Fork Meetings, and Legislative Update
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Tonight, September 20th at 6:30PM is our District 19 annual Town Hall Meeting. It will include representatives from many city agencies who will be there to answer questions and connect with you. This is a rare opportunity to speak directly to the executive branch civil servants who support our district related to public safety, roads and infrastructure, and other departments. It will take place at Stopher Elementary School and we look forward to seeing you there.
There are currently 2 initiatives going on that impact the Floyd’s Fork area. The first is the definition of certain form districts that were contained in the South Floyd’s Fork Area Plan which, at the time of the publishing of that plan, did not have fully vetted definitions. Those meetings are ongoing and are only related to defining these terms as stipulated in the South Floyds Fork plan.
Develop Louisville (the department in the Mayor’s Administration that has responsibility over development) is also working on my resolution to update the Floyd’s Fork DRO language. That background work is being completed soon but meetings for that have not been scheduled yet. I have asked Develop Louisville to keep me posted on when those are scheduled as I lead the effort on that resolution. Once I have more information regarding those meetings, I will share them.
