+ Report found efforts to reach immigrants and BIPOC during the pandemic worked, obstacles remain
New American Economy conducted the COVID-19 Community Impact Survey in Louisville and five other cities to provide guidance for how cities can equitably respond to COVID-19 and future crises.
The study found that efforts by local governments and organizations to address gaps in access are reaching the target communities, although obstacles remain.
"This report showcases the underlying inequalities in society, further exposed by COVID-19, that can dictate a person's health and wealth," said Mayor Fischer. This report from the New American Economy, in partnership with Walmart, helps us to better identify the gaps in our outreach, so we can better focus on addressing these communities' needs during times of crisis."
