LMPD 4th Division Advisory Board

The LMPD 4thDivision Advisory Board, a group of citizens representing the neighborhoods of the 4thDivision, meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month, 6:30 to 7:30 pm, at the Old Louisville Neighborhood & Visitors Center in Central Park, 1340 S. 4thSt., 40208. Major Joshua Judah meets with the Advisory Board to exchange Division news and hear community concerns. It is an opportunity for you to discuss issues in your community with the Division commanding officer and support the Division in its mission to keep our community safe. LIBA 11th Annual Buy Local Fair

The Louisville Independent Business Alliance (LIBA) will host the 11th Annual Buy Local Fair. Presented by Louisville Water Company, admission to the Buy Local Fair is free and parking is $7 per vehicle, or free for bicycle parking. The fair will host a variety of local businesses, musicians, artists and craftspeople, chefs, community organizers and farmers. Electric fans needed for local seniors and disabled residents

With the arrival of warmer temperatures, KIPDA and Louisville Metro collecting electric fans for seniors and persons with physical disabilities.  The fans will be distributed to qualified individuals within the KIPDA region including Jefferson, Bullitt, Henry, Shelby, Oldham, Spencer, and Trimble Counties. Donations of new box fans will be collected through June 3rd at:

   WLKY Studio, 1918 Mellwood Ave. (Lou, KY 40206)

Drop off hours are Monday through Friday; 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.

District 15 Dumper Caught!

Councilman Kevin Triplett praises Solid Waste Management Services Enforcement Officers for their persistence in impounding a fourth vehicle that was involved in two separate acts of illegal dumping. The first was in the 3600 block of Parthenia Avenue, then the second was in 4100 block of Craig Avenue.
   “These Officers deserve our thanks as a community for not giving up when it comes to catching illegal dumpers,” says Triplett. “I continue to send a very strong message to illegal dumpers; this action is very costly for you!”
   In this case the illegal dumper owes $1,750 for cleanup and fees prior to getting their vehicle back.


Winners for Wyandotte

LouCity FC employees and supporters ran in the Kentucky Derby Festival’s miniMarathon, raising more than $7,000 in support of the Louisville Parks Foundation’s planned turf soccer fields at Wyandotte Park.  The race, held on April 27, was met with great anticipation. Each runner solicited “sponsors” for their run to raise money to install a new turf soccer field in Wyandotte Park. Andrew DiLallo won bragging rights for the "LouCity miniMarathon Challenge". Andrew outpaced his competitors from start to finish!  Congratulations to Andrew and all who participated! 


Garbage, Recycling Bins out of Stock!

The supply of new garbage and recycling carts for this current fiscal year has been exhausted. No new carts will be delivered until new supplies are ordered after July 1 with the start of the new fiscal year. Orders for new carts may still be made here or requested through Metro311, but delivery will not occur until an undetermined number of weeks after July.
