Councilman Kevin Triplett praises Solid Waste Management Services Enforcement Officers for their persistence in impounding a fourth vehicle that was involved in two separate acts of illegal dumping. The first was in the 3600 block of Parthenia Avenue, then the second was in 4100 block of Craig Avenue. “These Officers deserve our thanks as a community for not giving up when it comes to catching illegal dumpers,” says Triplett. “I continue to send a very strong message to illegal dumpers; this action is very costly for you!” In this case the illegal dumper owes $1,750 for cleanup and fees prior to getting their vehicle back.
LouCity FC employees and supporters ran in the Kentucky Derby Festival’s miniMarathon, raising more than $7,000 in support of the Louisville Parks Foundation’s planned turf soccer fields at Wyandotte Park. The race, held on April 27, was met with great anticipation. Each runner solicited “sponsors” for their run to raise money to install a new turf soccer field in Wyandotte Park. Andrew DiLallo won bragging rights for the "LouCity miniMarathon Challenge". Andrew outpaced his competitors from start to finish! Congratulations to Andrew and all who participated!
