City announces inaugural She L.E.A.D.S. Mayor's Conference
The City of Carmel proudly announces the inaugural She L.E.A.D.S. 2025 Mayor’s Conference, hosted by Mayor Sue Finkam, on Thursday, Feb. 20 at 502 East Event Centre. The conference aims to empower women and middle school-aged girls in Carmel through Leadership, Empowerment, Advancement, Development and Service.
“Women and young girls are the backbone of a thriving community,” said Mayor Finkam. “She L.E.A.D.S. is a call to action to empower today’s women and equip tomorrow’s leaders. By fostering connections, providing resources, and showcasing women as role models, we ensure Carmel remains a place where all generations of women can thrive and lead.”

City honors gold medalist Sky Simpson
On Tuesday, Jan. 21, Mayor Sue Finkam, Councilor Shannon Minnaar, City of Carmel leaders, friends, family members and other supporters greeted Sky Simpson and his father Steve as they arrived at Penn Station East Coast Subs in one of Carmel Fire Department’s engines.

Carmel officials visit BraunAbility
This week, Mayor Finkam and other city officials visited BraunAbility to learn about public transportation options for individuals with disabilities.
BraunAbility, who designs and manufactures wheelchair accessible vehicles and wheelchair lifts, opened its new global headquarters in Carmel in 2019.

Carmel Utilities is proud to present this program that provides insight to the public on the responsibilities and operations of Carmel's Water, Wastewater, Trash & Recycling and Household Hazardous Waste Disposal services.

Sensory Skate Day
Experience The Ice at Carter Green in a sensory-friendly way! Wednesday, Jan. 29, 5 - 7 p.m.
This special event is designed for families and children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder or any special needs.
What to Expect
- A calm, welcoming environment
- Skate aids for extra support
- An opportunity to enjoy skating at your own pace

Join us through the winter weeks ahead in supporting many of our Carmel Caffeine Trail vendors as part of a special social media campaign.
- Every Friday, we will announce one Carmel Caffeine Trail shop on our social media outlets and in this e-newsletter for the upcoming week.
- The designated Carmel Caffeine Trail shop location will then give away a Caffeine Trail mug to customers on Wednesday during their featured week. Mugs are limited so act fast!
- When you pick up your mug, we ask you to share a photo at the featured location on our social media pages with the hashtag #CarmelCaffeineTrail

Celebrate our Earth through art! Carmel Green Initiative invites youth in grades kindergarten through 8th grade to enter the 2025 Earth Day Art Contest. Art entries will be displayed at several local exhibits to inspire the community to live more sustainably.
