Kevin Cusimano to lead technology strategy for City of Carmel
An information technology leader with extensive experience in supporting strategic business and technology goals has been named chief information officer for the City of Carmel, Zac Jackson, chief financial officer and controller, announced today.
Kevin Cusimano will provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing the city’s technology initiatives, directing and planning enterprise technology system in support of city operations.

New bid process enhancements offer efficiencies, savings
The City of Carmel’s adoption of OpenGOV, a state-of-the-art procurement software, will revolutionize the city’s bid process, fostering a more open and competitive bidding environment while reducing administrative costs and waste generated by a paper-based bid process.
The new system is set to launch in January 2025, ultimately benefiting contractors, residents and taxpayers alike through a more efficient bidding process.

Send letters to Santa
The holidays have arrived and we are here to help you and your family prepare. Write your letter to Santa and please don't forget to include your name and return address, then drop it in one of our four custom-made mailboxes placed around Carmel for a direct delivery to Santa and his elves at the North Pole.
Don't delay - letters will be accepted now through Sunday, Dec. 15.

Fall leaf and landscape waste removal Now through Dec. 15, each Carmel Utilities/Republic Services residential customer home is allowed up to 20 bags/bundles (four feet or shorter bundles) of landscape waste pick up per week, free of charge.

Holiday lights recycling drive Carmel residents have the opportunity to make this holiday season truly green by recycling holiday lights instead of throwing them away. Now through Friday, Jan. 10, 2025, the community can recycle used and unwanted holiday lights by taking them to White’s Ace Hardware & Garden Center at 731 S. Range Line Rd.

Carmel City Center announces new businesses
A.D.A Vintage Boutique has opened in the Nash building at 846 S. Range Line Road in Carmel City Center and is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays by appointment. This link takes you to Carmel City Center's news release.
The first businesses to open in the new Wren building were also announced last week. Honey, a permanent jewelry boutique and Alternate View, a comprehensive and upscale eye care boutique, join Carmel City Center's list of unique retail destinations. Read more at this link.

The Great American Songbook Foundation announced that, after some restoration work at Piano Solutions in Carmel, Irving Berlin's piano is back at the Songbook Library & Archives, near the Songbook Foundation’s headquarters at Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts.
Later this month, it will be publicly displayed for the first time in conjunction with Civic Theatre’s production of White Christmas at the center’s Tarkington theater.
