Carmel ranks No. 1 'Best Small City in America'
Carmel (No. 1), Fishers (No. 4) and Westfield (No. 10) once again ranked in the top ten of WalletHub's study of the "Best Small Cities in America." More than 1,300 cities were included in the study with rankings based on five key criteria: 1) Affordability, 2) Economic Health, 3) Education and Health, 4) Quality of Life and 5) Safety. These criteria were then measured across 45 "key metrics of livability."

Carmel City Center receives Indy Chamber Monumental Award
Congratulations to the Carmel Redevelopment Commission whose Carmel City Center project received the Monumental Award in the Neighborhood Revitalization category. The submitted projects in the categories of architecture, construction, engineering, innovative reuse, interior design, landscape architecture, neighborhood revitalization, public art and real estate development represent nine Central Indiana counties.
In its 47th year, the Monumental Awards highlight the contributions made by businesses and individuals to the region's built environment.

A little weather didn't stop Carmel International Arts Festival

As the summer festival season draws to a close and inclement weather provided some challenges, the annual two-day Carmel International Arts Festival (CIAF) featured stunning art and colorful performances in the Arts & Design District.

Traffic and Construction News

HAVERSTICK ROAD - Haverstick Road from E. 96th Street to E. 99th Street is open to southbound traffic only while work is underway in the northbound lane. This will re-open in November.
VETERANS WAY AND WALNUT STREET - This +/- 30-day full closure of Veterans Way and Walnut Street for the construction of a roundabout at that intersection, is underway.

Head to Midtown Plaza on Tuesdays and Thursdays for Movies at Midtown presented all summer long by Allied Solutions, on the big screen. Showings are at noon and 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and 6 p.m. on Thursdays. This link takes you to the 2024 movie schedule.
