Cedar Lake Road from Rollins Road to Monaville Road is currently closed for a culvert replacement. The Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) was informed that this closure will be extended due to an unforeseen utility conflict.
LCDOT met with the contractor and the utility company, and a plan is in place to have the road reopened in early November, weather dependent. The current detour route remains in effect.
Detour Route: Rollins Road to Fairfield Road to Monaville Road.
Local traffic has access on Cedar Lake Road from Rollins Road north to S. Bauer Drive and from Monaville Road south to Countryside Lane. The work zone is closed to all traffic.
Update on Cedar Lake Road Closure from Monaville Road to IL 132
LCDOT recently announced that a separate closure on Cedar Lake Road from Monaville Road to IL 132 (Grand Ave.) would be starting on October 24. Due to the extended closure on Cedar Lake Road north of Rollins Road, this closure has been delayed. LCDOT will provide an update when the new date for the culvert replacement is announced.
