Metra’s
Milwaukee District North Line provides Ingleside and Long Lake residents with
commuter rail service to and from downtown Chicago. When trains run during
non-peak periods, Long Lake and Ingleside are then considered flag stops. This
means trains will only stop there if passengers are waiting on the platform
visible to the engineer or if they are on the train within a car that opens and have alerted a
conductor that they would like to get off at those locations. Flag stops are
noted in Metra timetables by a lowercase “f” in front of the time listed for
that train to stop at those stops. Detailed information is available at www.metrarail.com.
New Ventra App Coming to Metra, CTA and Pace A new Ventra App is being developed that will allow customers to pay for rides on Metra, CTA and Pace transit systems with a few taps on their mobile device. This free app will be available on Apple and Android smartphone and tablet devices.
