Levy Senior Center Closed on August 19 for Programming
The Levy Senior Center will be closed on Tuesday, August 19 for a department-wide staff training day.
Please note:

DMV hours will remain from 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

August Finance Series
The topic for August is "Investing with Purpose." In this presentation we will discuss what it means to invest with purpose, and what investment options are available for a positive impact. We will cover strategies to align your portfolio with your personal beliefs as well as managing environmental, social, and governance risks and opportunities.

Blissful Sound Meditation
Immerse yourself in a 90-minute acoustic experience designed to soothe the mind, relax the body, and renew the spirit. Guided by sound practitioner Preston Klik, this unique meditation uses a variety of world instruments—including the Ocean Gong, Native flutes, crystal singing bowls, handpan, and chimes—to create a deeply calming soundscape. Participants are invited to lie down, close their eyes, and drift into a dreamlike state of deep relaxation. Perfect for those seeking stress relief, inner peace, or a restorative reset.

Ready to add some sparkle to your Thursdays? Join us for Bead-Dazzle, a fun and creative jewelry-making class perfect for beginners and seasoned crafters alike! Registration starts August 11.

Clay Hand Building and Glazing

Senior Chat August Topics
August 18: Returning speaker, Bertram Guy, will continue his talk more specifically on the practice of Buddhist “Mindfulness”. He will be back by popular demand, once again to enlighten us further on this fascinating topic.
August 25: Our own, Charles Kuner, will enlighten us on humanities. (i.e. music, the visual arts, literature, etc.) Humanities are enhancers to our lives and affect our well being and behavior as well as our view of the world around us.
