Starlight Concert & Movie Series lineup
First up on the musical stage: Mark your calendars for June 10 as we kick off the fun with a concert by the J. Davis Trio. The concert will take place at Tallmadge Park at 6 p.m.
 Earth Month events continue!
Help clean up downtown: Join Downtown Evanston for their annual Earth Day Clean-Up event on Sun., April 27! Meet at Fountain Square to pick up gloves, bags, and a clean-up map before heading out. Register today.
Attend the Environmental Equity Public Workshop: Join the public workshop on Wed., April 30, 6 p.m. at Ebenezer AME Church. This workshop will focus on investigation progress and will discuss parks and trees, streets and transportation, community services, housing, and more.

City Earth Day Fest: Head to the Ladd Arboretum on Sat., April 26, from noon to 3 p.m. to enjoy hands-on nature activities, games, and resources from 15+ local eco-organizations. Plus, you can even take home a free tree from the City’s Public Works Department (while supplies last).
 It's time to get out and walk!
The Evanston Health & Human Services Department has relaunched "We’re Out Walking" (WOW), a 16-week community fitness and wellness initiative offering fitness classes, wellness events, and community walks.
Program Registration: Register for the WOW program online or at the kickoff event, with participation fees ranging from $5 to $10. Track activities and earn rewards through the optional Wellable platform, which can be opted into during registration.
Kickoff Event: The program kicks off with a launch event on Sat., April 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at ETHS’s Willie May Fieldhouse, featuring a live DJ, food trucks, fitness demonstrations, bounce houses, giveaways, and more!

82nd City Council Swearing-In Ceremony
Newly elected City Council members will be sworn in during a special ceremony on Mon., April 28, at 7 p.m. at the Lorraine H. Morton City Hall, 909 Davis St. Mayor Biss and City staff will also honor and recognize the outgoing Council members for their dedicated service.
New Ward Map: The new ward map will go into effect on April 28. Community members can view the new boundaries using the interactive Ward Redistricting app.

DuSable Explorer bust finds a new home
Sculptor Erik Blome has notified the City that the DuSable Explorer bust, a temporary installation outside of the Evanston Public Library, is ready for its next chapter. The sculpture will soon head to its new home in Mackinaw City, with its move out of Evanston expected to happen on Saturday.
Provide feedback on the Draft Parks and Green Space Strategic Plan
This Strategic Plan is designed to shape a long-term approach to maintaining, enhancing, and investing in Evanston’s parks, green spaces, and recreational facilities. Check out the Draft Strategic Plan and share your input via an online comment form by May 9.
Attend the Aging Well Film Night on May 1
Join us for the Aging Well Film Night on Thurs., May 1, at 6:30 p.m. in Bobby’s Room at the Levy Senior Center. We’ll be screening Hard Truths, a heartwarming British-Spanish comedy-drama about Pansy Deacon, a North London woman navigating grief and rediscovering joy.

The City and Metropolitan Tenants Organization are offering Landlord/ Tenant Walk-In Hours. Stop by the Evanston Public Library on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month through June, 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., to get answers and learn about updates to the Residential Landlord Tenant Ordinance.
