Registration for our Fall programs is open for Evanston residents and opens at 9 a.m. on August 19 for non-residents (including Skokie residents). Check out our program lineup in the Fall guide and register.

This free program is open thru August from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Lovelace Park. Program includes equipment and bait. Children under the 16 don't need a fishing license but must be accompanied by an adult. Fishing licenses can be purchased online. |

End-of-Season Schedule for Evanston Swimming Beaches
Swimming only will be available at Greenwood Street Beach for the remainder of the season during the following hours:

August 12 through August 30, 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

August 31 through September 2, 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The public will have access to the sand area of all other beaches.

Dempster St. Beach Watercraft Rentals

Make a reservation online for a kayak, sailboat or paddleboard or at the Dempster St. Beach Office at 1251 Lake Shore Blvd.

Outdoor Racquet Courts Reservations
You now can reserve tennis and pickleball courts online. This new system aims to streamline the reservation process, making it easier and more convenient for everyone to enjoy these popular sports.
- Visit the Reservation Website: cityofevanston.org/courts
- Select your court and time

Login into your Recreation account or create one.
- Account must include your birth date and a valid email address.
- Type “tennis” or “pickleball” in the reservation purpose field.
- Confirm your reservation and make payment.
- Your receipt serves as your permit.
