City Announces 2024 End-of-Season Schedule for Evanston Swimming Beaches
 EVANSTON, IL - As seasonal lifeguards and beach staff return to school each year, the City of Evanston adjusts beach operations at the end of the season to ensure that select locations have adequate staff to maintain public safety, manage admissions, and support daily operations.
Beginning Monday, August 12, swimming will only be available at Greenwood Street Beach for the remainder of the season during the following hours:

August 12 through August 30, 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

August 31 through September 2, 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Although swimming will not be permitted at beaches other than Greenwood Street Beach, the public will have access to the sand area of all other beaches. Every effort will be made to open additional swimming beaches on evenings and weekends as staffing allows. Stay informed on additional openings by checking the beach status website. Beach statuses will be updated daily. Never swim without a lifeguard present.
Daily beach passes will remain available for purchase through the end of the season. Church and Dempster Street launch facilities will operate normally.
The end-of-season hours for Lincoln Street Beach begin Monday, September 2. Daily hours are Noon to 6 p.m. Lincoln Street Beach is managed by Northwestern University; however, resident beach passes are accepted for free admission. View the schedule.
