 Fall Program Guide Available...and Registration Begins Aug. 12
Evanston's Parks and Recreation Fall Program Guide is now available. We've got zombies, sports, arts, halloween events, school programs and so much more! Get started planning your fall schedule in advance of registration.
Registration opens at 9 a.m. on Monday, August 12 for Evanston residents and at 9 a.m. on August 19 for non-residents (including Skokie residents).
City Announces 2024 End-of-Season Schedule for Evanston Swimming Beaches
As seasonal lifeguards and beach staff return to school each year, the City of Evanston adjusts beach operations at the end of the season to ensure that select locations have adequate staff to maintain public safety, manage admissions, and support daily operations.
Beginning Monday, August 12, swimming will only be available at Greenwood Street Beach for the remainder of the season during the following hours:

August 12 through August 30, 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

August 31 through September 2, 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The public will have access to the sand area of all other beaches.

NEW! Outdoor Racquet Courts Now Available for Online Reservations
The Evanston Parks and Recreation is excited to announce that community members and visitors can now reserve tennis and pickleball courts online. This new system aims to streamline the reservation process, making it easier and more convenient for everyone to enjoy these popular sports.
How It Works
- Visit the Reservation Website: cityofevanston.org/courts
- Select your court and time

Login into your Recreation account or create one.
- Account must include your birth date and a valid email address.
- Type “tennis” or “pickleball” in the reservation purpose field.
- Confirm your reservation and make payment.
- Your receipt serves as your permit.
E-bikes for Rent at Clark Street Beach
Get ready to explore the Evanston lakefront like never before with our brand-new e-bikes at Clark Street Beach. Whether you're sightseeing or just enjoying a leisurely ride, our e-bikes are the perfect way to get around! Simply scan the QR code on the bike and follow the prompts.
End of Summer Beach Party: August 9
Celebrate summer at a beach party at Clark Street Beach. The party will feature food, games, and a hula performance and music by Barefoot Hawaiian.

Free Access to Fishing

This free program is open thru August from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Lovelace Park. Program includes equipment and bait. Children under the 16 don't need a fishing license but must be accompanied by an adult. Fishing licenses can be purchased online. |
Volunteer for Singing and Piano Playing at the Levy Senior Center
Do you love music and enjoy helping others? We are looking for a dedicated volunteer with piano or keyboard experience to join our Shower Singers class.
