Farmers' market season is finally here! 🍅
The Downtown Evanston Farmers’ Market, which was named "Best Farmers Market - Suburbs" by Better Chicago, will kick off its 49th season this Sat., May 4, with over 50 vendors selling everything from fruit to flowers to baked goods. The Market will be open every Saturday through November 2, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at University Place and Oak Avenue.
 Tune in for the Mayor's State of the City Address
Mayor Daniel Biss will present his State of the City Address on Wed., May 8 at 4 p.m. While registration is full for the in-person event, community members are invited to view the live-streamed speech on the City's Facebook page. The recorded speech will also be available the next day on the City's YouTube and Channel 16.
 Enroll in the Private Elm Tree Insurance Program
Do you have an elm tree on your private property? Enroll in the City's Private Elm Tree Insurance Program, which covers the removal of elm trees when they become infected with Dutch elm disease (DED). The deadline to enroll in the 2024 program is Saturday, June 1. 🌳
 Pay your bills through our new self-service kiosk
The City has recently introduced a self-service kiosk, through a partnership with CityBase, at the Robert Crown Community Center. The kiosk allows residents to pay water bills and parking tickets quickly and efficiently without incurring any convenience fees. Learn more.

Evanston Made is kicking off the summer with two fun weekend events:
Shop one-of-a-kind items: Discover unique treasures from local artisans at the Evanston Made Maker's Market, now in its 6th season! Join us on Sun., May 5, on the 5th floor of the Maple Avenue Parking Garage for a curated selection of handmade goods including art, craft, jewelry, and more!
Explore Evanston's creative community: Join Evanston Made for its First Saturday Evanston Art Event on May 4, where venues citywide will showcase art and handmade goods. New this month, participants can take part in an Art Hunt with ROAMLI, snapping selfies with artists or business owners for prizes. Let this handy Google Map lead your way!
