Outdoor Movie - World Alzheimer's Day
The Levy Senior Center is bringing awareness to dementia on Thurs., Sept. 21, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with an outdoor movie of "Keys Bags, Names, Words." September is the month where we come together to raise awareness and challenge the stigma around dementia and this year, we want to make World Alzheimer’s Month the most meaningful ever. "Never too early, never too late" aligns closely with the stories you'll see in the film, highlighting both prevention and post-diagnosis supports and interventions.
Jamming Jean Free Outdoor Concert
Close out the summer on Fri., Sept., 22, at 5 p.m. with Suite Mollie playing a variety of funk, rock, soul, R&B, and maybe a little Jazz outside the Levy Senior Center. With the horns, a slammin’ rhythm section, and powerful vocals, they know how to rock the crowd! Food from The Fat Shallot will be available for purchase. Read more.
Virtual Levy Lecture
The Levy Lecture Series is a free program featuring top lecturers, authors and entertainers for residents 55 and over, who are passionate about learning. Lectures are bi-monthly via Zoom on Tues., Sept. 19, at 1:30 p.m. Register and you will receive an email with easy-to-follow steps. Sponsored by the Levy Senior Center Foundation.
September Finance Series
The topic for September is "Ready or Not". All adults ages 50 and over are welcome to attend. Life is full of surprises, some better than others. And in your daily life, you probably already prepare for many potentially unpleasant, unexpected events. A job loss, extended disability or untimely loss of a family member can profoundly impact your family's financial situation. We’ll outline a proactive strategy to help protect your family's financial resources from life's unexpected turns.

Monet Returns-Jim Parks in Action
Jim Parks will be hard at work on new paintings in the Levy lobby…and you’re cordially invited to stop by on Monday, Sept. 25 between 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and watch the creative process in action. Stay as long or as little as you like! (He’s bringing plenty of paper and pencils in case you’d like to try your hand!)

Greg Whalen Magic Show
Professional magician Greg Whalen, who has performed on television, in nightclubs, and off-Broadway, will entertain in the Levy Senior Center's Library Room on Monday, September 25th at 1 p.m. Greg's 40-minute magic show is friendly, upbeat, and filled with lots of comedy, stories and magical surprises!
