COVID-19 at-home testing FAQs
Where can I get an at-home COVID-19 test?
At-home tests are available for free from the federal government, as well as for purchase at many local retailers.
How can I report at-home test results?
At this time, the City, County and State do not have a mechanism for reporting, verifying or tracking at-home test results. Community members who test positive or are exposed to COVID-19 should follow CDC protocols for quarantine and isolation.

More News and Events
West Nile virus positive mosquitoes found in Evanston
The North Shore Mosquito Abatement District (NSMAD) has found the first West Nile virus positive mosquitoes in Evanston this year. Take measures to minimize mosquito bites: Use insect repellent, wear loose fitting clothing, avoid peak mosquito feeding times during dawn and dusk, and eliminate outdoor items that can hold water.
EFD conducting hydrant testing
The Evanston Fire Department and the Water Production Bureau are conducting annual testing of fire hydrants throughout the city. You may notice a slight discoloration of tap water shortly after testing is conducted in your area. If so, simply run your water for a short time until the water clears. (Please note that testing occurs in between calls for emergency services, so a schedule for hydrant testing is not available.)
Stowe appointed interim city manager
The Evanston City Council has appointed Luke Stowe as interim city manager as it completes its search for a new city manager. Stowe is a 10-year veteran of the City, and previously served as interim deputy city manger and chief information officer.
