AARP income tax-aide now available for eligible seniors
To schedule an appointment, call the Levy Senior Center at 847-448-8250.
 As a reminder, you may file your income taxes on your own. If your adjusted gross income is less than $39,000, you can complete both your Federal and Illinois taxes for free and get your refund soon! If your adjusted gross income is higher, but under $72,000 there are other options. The following government sites have relevant information.

Senior property tax review and exemptions
The City of Evanston's property tax reviewer Mitzi Gibbs, will be onsite at the Levy Senior Center on Wednesdays through Wed., March 31. Mitzi will assist homeowners with submitting exemption applications for new or missed exemptions including senior and senior freeze exemptions. These appointments are NOT for appealing property taxes. Face masks are required. Appointments are required, no walk-ins.  The Levy Senior Center Foundation is proud to sponsor the Levy Lecture Series, an educational program for residents 55+ years who are passionate about learning. Additional support is provided by Avidor Evanston. The series is free, but registration is required. Lectures through June will be presented on Zoom. Register and you will receive an email with easy-to-follow steps.
