FJT Performs "The Gift of the Magi" this Weekend
 Families will love Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre's modern retelling of the original classic, "The Gift of the Magi," by O. Henry. This holiday musical play will be on stage this Fri., Dec. 22 and Sat., Dec. 23, at 7 p.m., at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center.

 Local artists and arts organizations are invited to apply for the City’s Cultural Fund Grant Program by Fri., Feb. 9. The Fund supports artistic excellence throughout the community by providing financial assistance to not-for-profit arts organizations and projects.

A Community Celebration of Kwanzaa December 26
 Enjoy music, spoken word, dancing, the lighting of the Kinara, and recitation of the Seven Principles of Kwanzaa on Tues., Dec. 26, at 6 p.m., at the Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center. Admission is free.

 Skate to your favorite music this Fri., Dec. 22, from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Robert Crown Center. Come dressed for the Ugly Holiday Sweater Contest! The top three contestants win a prize.

Holiday Tree Pick-ups 12/26 through 1/26
 City crews will pick up holiday trees beginning Tues., Dec. 26 through Fri., Jan. 26 on residents' normal refuse collection day. Please place trees on the parkway, in between the street and the sidewalk, and remove all lights and decorations. Do not place trees in plastic bags.
