Next ward meeting scheduled for October 20

Mark your calendars for a 6th Ward meeting on Thursday, October 20 at 7 p.m.,Three Crowns Park, 2323 McDaniel Avenue, Multi-purpose Room. The agenda will include city staff reports, in addition to presentations by Districts 65 and 202 school board presidents.


Fall 2016 bulk trash pick-ups

The City of Evanston offers residents the free removal of up to six cubic yards of bulk garbage twice per year. Fall 2016 bulk trash pick-ups will take place on Fridays, October 7 through 28, and are scheduled according to residents’ normal refuse pick-up day.
Bulk trash pick-up for residents whose normal refuse collection day is:

  • Thursday will be Friday, October 7
  • Monday will be Friday, October 14
  • Tuesday will be Friday, October 21
  • Wednesday will be Friday, October 28

Please note: This schedule has changed since it was originally published in spring 2016.


Text/email bulk trash reminders

Residents can sign up for text or email notifications to remind them of bulk trash pick-up. Notifications are sent out two weeks prior to the bulk trash-pick-up day, and again two days prior to the bulk trash pick-up day. To signup for notifications, visit cityofevanston.org/bulktrash or call/text 847-448-4311.

Participate in the Pace/CTA North Shore Coordination Plan

Pace and CTA invite you and residents, visitors and employees in the North Shore area to an open house to discuss the Pace/CTA North Shore Coordination Plan. The open houses will be held on Tuesday, October 4 and Wednesday, October 5.

Tuesday, October 4, 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.
Chicago Public Library, Rogers Park, Community Room, 6907 N. Clark Street, Chicago

Wednesday, October 5, 4 - 6 p.m. 
Lincolnwood Community Center, 6900 N. Lincoln Street, Lincolnwood, Illinois

The open houses will include a study introduction, overview of market analysis/survey results and an opportunity for public input and feedback on the ways to improve public transit in the study area.
