Water Plant Tour

How does water get from Lake Michigan to your faucet? Find out by taking a look inside Evanston's Water Treatment Facility on Sat., May 7 in celebration of "National Drinking Water Week!" Two tours will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-registration is required and is limited to Evanston residents.

Party for the Planet at Evanston's Green Ball!

Early bird tickets are now available for Evanston's 5th annual Green Ball! Enjoy food and drinks from some of Evanston's best establishments, live music, and great company while supporting programming and operations at the Ecology Center. The event will be held at the Levy Center on Fri., May 13, from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. An Eco Center Sitters service is available for attending parents.

Join your friends and neighbors for the City's annual “Clean up, Evanston!" event on Sat., April 23, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.! Community groups and individuals of all ages can sign up to volunteer at more than 20 clean-up sites across the city, or organize their own local park clean-up.

Celebrate Older Americans Month at the 18th annual Aging Well Conference and Film Night! On Thurs., May 5, at 7 p.m., visit the Evanston Public Library for a free screening of "Alive Inside." Then, on Fri., May 6, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., head to The Merion for a free conference including an array of educational workshops for seniors and those who care for them. You must pre-register for the conference.
