Tour Evanston's Water Treatment Facility!

How does water get from Lake Michigan to your faucet? Find out by taking a look inside Evanston's Water Treatment Facility on Sat., May 7 in celebration of "National Drinking Water Week!" Two tours will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-registration is required and is limited to Evanston residents.

Party for the Planet at Evanston's Green Ball!

Early bird tickets are now available for Evanston's 5th annual Green Ball! Enjoy food and drinks from some of Evanston's best establishments, live music, and great company while supporting programming and operations at the Ecology Center. The event will be held at the Levy Center on Fri., May 13, from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. An Eco Center Sitters service is available for attending parents.

Help "Clean Up, Evanston" on April 23!

Join your friends and neighbors for the City's annual “Clean up, Evanston!" event on Sat., April 23, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.! Community groups and individuals of all ages can sign up to volunteer at more than 20 clean-up sites across the city, or organize their own local park clean-up.

Register for the 18th Annual Aging Well Conference and Film Night May 5-6!

Celebrate Older Americans Month at the 18th annual Aging Well Conference and Film Night! On Thurs., May 5, at 7 p.m., visit the Evanston Public Library for a free screening of "Alive Inside." Then, on Fri., May 6, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., head to The Merion for a free conference including an array of educational workshops for seniors and those who care for them. You must pre-register for the conference.

Deals Galore at Robert Crown Center's Flea Market April 9!

Vietnam War 50th Anniversary Commemorative Event 4/16

The Evanston Vet Center and the Evanston Public Library will jointly host a 50th anniversary commemorative event to honor Vietnam War Veterans on Sat., April 16, 1 p.m., in the library's Community Meeting Room.

Ald. Brian Miller will host a 9th Ward meeting tonight, Thurs., April 7, 7 p.m., at the David Wood Field House in Kamen East Park.

2nd Ward Meeting 4/14

Ald. Peter Braithwaite will host a 2nd Ward meeting on Thurs., April 14, 7 p.m., at the J.E.H. Education Center.

"Shakespeare by Design" Opening Reception April 10

Enjoy an opening reception for the Noyes Cultural Arts Center's "Shakespeare By Design" exhibition this Sun., April 10, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free, and food and entertainment will be provided.

Trial Traffic Restrictions for Ridge Ave. and Grove St. 4/13

To address safety and operational concerns at the intersection of Ridge Ave. and Grove St., the City will implement changes to traffic patterns at the intersection on a trial basis beginning Wed., April 13.
