Evanston Police Department Releases 2015 Crime Stats
 The Evanston Police Department has released the city's Part I crime statistics for 2015. Overall, Part I crimes for 2015 were down 5.1 percent, which equated to 104 fewer victims in 2015 compared with 2014.

 The Evanston Fire Department has released its 2015 Annual Report. In 2015, the department responded to 9,630 calls for service, the highest total call volume in its history.
Dog Beach Opening Delayed Due to Beach Erosion
 Evanston's Dog Beach will open no earlier than May 1 this season due to beach conditions. The City is investigating the option of moving sand to the area to create a larger beach space.
