Mark Your Calendar: Evanston Edge Startup Showcase Returns in March

The next Evanston Edge Startup Showcase will be scheduled the second week of March 2016. Entrepreneurs interested in pitching their business may apply online by clicking here. EvanstonEdge Startup Showcases bring together entrepreneurs, students, funders, developers, and designers in support of Evanston's most innovative startups. Five selected entrepreneurs will each have five minutes to present their business and make their “ask” – a need for technical help, intellectual capital, funding, etc. 

More details regarding the date and location of the event will be provided int he coming weeks.

Employment Alert: First Slice Pie Cafe is Hiring at New Evanston Location

First Slice is a not-for-profit pie cafe & coffee shop with three locations on Chicago's North side, and we will soon be opening a new location inside the Gibbs Morrison Cultural Center in Evanston. All of our cafes serve delicious pies, pastries, soups, salads, sandwiches, organic coffees & teas, and more. Cafe sales fund our Outreach Program which provides over 600 meals weekly through organizations including StreetWise, The Night Ministry, Broadway Youth Center and Epiphany UCC. Don't Forget: Shovel Sidewalks & Fire Hydrants this Winter

The City reminds residents, landlords and businesses of their responsibility to remove snow and ice from sidewalks after a winter event. Sidewalks, parking lots and all common areas including open stairwells, must be kept free from hazardous conditions at all times.
