CRA Celebrates Serene Beauty Suite Grand Opening at Styx Promenade
Congratulations to Serene Beauty Suite on its official grand opening at the Styx Promenade! This celebration marks both the launch of an exciting new business and another milestone in the continued transformation of the Historic Northwest neighborhood. Once home to historic shotgun-style houses along 7th Street, the Styx Promenade has been thoughtfully reimagined to honor the area’s architectural character and cultural heritage while creating new opportunities for local entrepreneurs to thrive, with the preserved original structure serving as a meaningful link between past and future. Following a competitive selection process, the CRA proudly welcomed owners Yaneek Facey and Kimberly Winn, whose vision for wellness, self-care, and empowerment is already bringing energy, connection, and opportunity to the community while helping shape the promenade into a vibrant, walkable destination. We are proud to support businesses that strengthen neighborhoods and celebrate culture.

Broadway Notice to Dispose and Invitation to Negotiate
The West Palm Beach Community Redevelopment Agency is seeking development proposals for several CRA-owned properties along the Broadway corridor as part of its effort to revitalize the area. Through an Invitation to Negotiate, developers are invited to propose plans to lease or purchase seven parcels and create a high-quality, architecturally distinctive mixed-use project that includes elements such as housing, commercial space, and community amenities. The initiative is designed to demonstrate the new Broadway Mixed-Use District regulations while encouraging private investment, economic growth, and long-term redevelopment along the corridor in West Palm Beach.
CCTV Security Grants for Commercial Properties
We are excited to announce our new incentive program: Community Safety CCTV Grant Program. This program is to help improve safety and reduce crime in designated CRA districts. The program encourages commercial and non-residential property owners to install security cameras that connect with the West Palm Beach Police Department’s Real-Time Crime Center. By expanding access to integrated surveillance technology, the initiative supports innovative policing strategies, provides valuable investigative evidence, and helps deter criminal activity while addressing crime-related blight. The program also aims to strengthen partnerships between the community and law enforcement, enhance neighborhood stability, and support economic growth. Eligible businesses and property owners may receive up to four professionally installed CCTV cameras, including mounting hardware and standard installation, at no cost to the applicant, with grants of up to $3,000 per property.

Structural work is also progressing on park facilities, with the Restroom and Storage Building moving forward through framing, roof decking, deck joist installation, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough-ins.
