Greetings Commissioners Tekola, Kauffman, Lucio, Imtiaz, Galvan, Wirt, and Abu-Khalaf:
Pursuant to the “Administrative Procedure Amendment Act of 2000” D.C. LAW 13-249 (48 DCR 3491 April 20, 2001), the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is required to provide a written Notice of Intent (NOI) on proposed traffic and parking modifications.
DDOT proposes to implement safety improvements at eight (8) high crash intersections along North Capitol Street. The intersections are listed in the NOI document and plans are attached. These intersections were identified in a safety analysis as part of Phase I of the North Capitol Street Corridor Study. DDOT is preparing to kick off Phase II of this project in public meetings on Saturday, June 14 and Monday, June 16.
All comments on this subject matter must be filed in writing by Friday, July 18 (30 business days after the date of this notice), with the District Department of Transportation, Capital Planning Division, 250 M Street, S.E., 4th Floor, Washington, D.C. 20003, or via email to me.
