Celebrate Arbor Day with your community!
It's time to return to our roots and celebrate the 18th anniversary of Superior's Tree City USA designation.
This year's Arbor Day celebration, which will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on April 26 at Purple Park (1310 S. Pitkin Ave.), will focus on educational and green-themed activities for everyone.
With an expanded tree-planting celebration, volunteers will have ample opportunity to help plant trees throughout the beautiful Purple Park while learning tips and tricks specific to our area.
Let's make this spring "un-be-leaf-able" by giving back and planting trees!
Volunteers are needed! You can volunteer to support the event or take part in the traditional Tree City USA tree-planting ceremony and help plant trees throughout the park. No green thumb is needed, but feel free to bring a shovel! For more information and to sign up, please use this volunteer form.

Park crews clean up graffiti at local park
Recently, graffiti was spotted in one of Superior's beautiful parks. Thanks to our Parks team, it was cleaned up quickly!
Please remember that graffiti vandalism, while often perceived as a minor nuisance, can significantly impact the aesthetic appeal and perceived safety of a community.
In Superior, proactive measures are essential to address and prevent graffiti, ensuring the town remains a welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike. Graffiti can lead to decreased property values, deter potential businesses, and foster a sense of neglect. Prompt removal is crucial; studies indicate that eliminating graffiti within 24 to 48 hours can significantly reduce the likelihood of recurrence .
Residents play a vital role in graffiti prevention. Superior offers the Click & Fix platform, enabling community members to report non-emergency issues, including graffiti, 24/7. Submissions can include photos and GPS locations, facilitating swift responses from Town staff.
