This awesome and hard-working crew of volunteers from Tech Electronics spent several hours last month raking and over-seeding a portion of tract north of the Oerman-Roche Trailhead as a part of a PROS reseeding pilot project. We talked about the effects of the fire in this area and on the community, fire ecology and the value of reseeding specific areas with native grasses to mitigate erosion and noxious weed concerns, as well as support local wildlife and pollinators. This is a great example of the spirit of service surrounding ourTown. Thank you, Tech Electronics!

National Small Business Week celebrates the resiliency and tenacity of the small businesses in our community. Three months after the Marshall Fire, Superior’s local businesses are doing their best to stage a comeback. Some have been hit harder than others, but all have experienced the outpouring care and support of the surrounding community. For residents of Superior and community members in the region, there are several ways to help. Social media is one great avenue for showing support. You can visit Superior businesses’ Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages and leave encouraging comments and reviews.
Ultimately, the best way to help is through your patronage. Supporting our local businesses helps cultivate relationships within the community and will help impacted businesses recover more quickly. Visit the Town's Business Directory for a list of our incredible Superior businesses. Also, please visit the Economic Development website to check out our One Community Business Spotlights!

Carmel is now working on Blocks 6, 7, and the north portions of Blocks 9 ,10 and 11. In addition to that, Remington is constructing townhomes on the southern portions of Blocks 9, 10 and 11. Please take note of the new sidewalk available along the north side of Old Rail Way from Promenade Drive to Gateway Drive, and along Gateway Drive, from Old Rail Way to Main Street as indicated in green in the image provided.
Carmel’s work on Blocks 9, 10 and 11 will extend into 2023 while Remington will open sidewalks once its adjacent construction is safely out of the way of pedestrian paths. This work should start by early summer.

Keep It Clean Partnership
Chemicals applied to lawns and gardens in the spring often end up in nearby streams, harming aquatic life and causing excessive algae growth. For healthy lawns and gardens that require less pesticides and fertilizers start by doing a soil test to learn more about your soil and determine if additional nutrients are needed. Use a locally sourced compost instead of store bought fertilizers and try alternative pest management techniques instead of pesticides to combat plant diseases, pests, and weeds. Use this brand new Lawn and Garden Water Protection Guide published by the Keep it Clean Partnership to learn more.
