In Memory of Reggie Nettles

It is with great sadness that the Town informs our community of the passing of Town staff member Reggie Nettles. Reggie passed away unexpectedly last month. He had been a valued member of our staff serving as Code Enforcement Officer for 13 years and will be missed. Please keep Reggie’s family in your thoughts as they go through this difficult time.

Staff will collect and forward condolences to Reggie’s family here. There’s also an online message board for those who wish to publicly post.

Superior's Roots

Happy Earth Day Superior!

Each April, communities across the world celebrate Earth Day as a way to increase awareness of environmental issues. The first Earth Day took place on April 22, 1970 and marks the birth of the modern environmental movement – led by Senator Gaylord Nelson from Wisconsin. Today, Earth Day serves as a global day of action to bring environmental awareness, encourage consumer behavior change and make apparent the dire consequences of climate change and what inaction could mean. You can visit EarthDay.org to find virtual and in-person Earth Day events and for a great environmental education resource library. Additionally, there are several local programs and activities you can participate in to celebrate Earth Day!

Recycling Options - Recycle Row

What and where is Recycle Row?

While the street isn’t actually named “Recycle Row,” the 1.2 mile stretch from 63rd Street and Valmont down to 6400 Arapahoe Ave. is now home to every current City of Boulder and Boulder County Zero Waste facility. This makes it possible for residents and businesses to easily recycle, compost or reuse almost every discard item they would have. ecocycle.org
