 Featured Fitness Class: Barre Class
Discover the power of Barre! This endurance-based strength workout combines ballet, Pilates, yoga, and strength training to help you achieve longer, leaner muscles. With minimal equipment required, Barre is perfect for building grace and strength in every move.
Barre classes are included with your paid admission or membership at the Louisville Recreation & Senior Center. Participants must be at least 14 years old, and we recommend consulting your physician before starting a new exercise program.

Fitness Classes
Sundays, 1/5 and 1/19 @ 3:30-4:30 p.m.
- Join Deep Water Aerobics for impact strength, flexibility, and endurance with fun music and equipment. Instructor: Margie H.
Mondays and Wednesdays, 1/8-4/25 @ 1:30-2:30 p.m.
- Learn strength training basics—machines, free weights, and bodyweight exercises. Meet twice a week for four weeks. Minimum of 4 participants required. Instructor: Michael
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1/7 @ 5:30-6:30 p.m.
- Build off-season strength and prevent injuries with core, hip, and upper body training using body weight, plyometrics, and movement drills. Instructor: Leslie
Wednesdays, 1/8 - 1/29 @ 11-12 p.m.
- Boost core strength, flexibility, and posture with personalized attention in a small class. Support your fitness and balance goals with resistance-based springs.
Tuesday, 1/15 @ 12-1 p.m.
- Make restaurant-worthy dishes from scratch! Start with samosas—irresistible savory pastries that you’ll love. Instructor: Akila
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1/7 - 1/23 @ 11-12 p.m. (age 18+)
- Experience Running H2O: land running benefits without impact or getting wet. No athletic skills needed. Aqua-jogging belts provided. Instructor: Mary
Sundays, 1/26 @ 3:30 p.m.
- This class is for families with children 5-9 years old. We will learn and play with poses to develop balance, coordination and flexibility. Relaxation and breathing techniques will be presented in each class. Pay drop in fee or use membership. Instructor: Lea
