Ice Melt Contest
It's that time of year! On Tuesday, March 4 the Summit County Rotary with help from the Summit County Sheriffs Office, and the Dillon Marina, will launch the ice melt drum in the middle of the frozen reservoir. This highly specialized device will track the exact moment the ice breaks and record when the drum plunges into the water. The Ice Melt Contest is one of the Summit Rotary's flagship fundraisers. Locals, visitors, and other astute guessers predict the exact time the device will drop. The winning guess will receive a cash prize. All proceeds from the contest support vital community projects. The more tickets you buy, the better your chance of winning! All entries must be received by midnight on April 14.

Important Renewal and Work Order Information
As a friendly reminder, the deadline to renew your slip is Saturday, March 1. All slip leases must be signed, and invoices paid by this date in order to maintain your slip for the upcoming season. If your lease is not signed and payment is not received by March 1, it will be assumed that you will not be returning, and your slip will be forfeited.
After the renewal deadline, any available slips will be offered to individuals on our waitlist. Once all slips have been filled, I will update the waitlist and notify those who were unable to secure a slip for the 2025 season that we are at capacity.
Spring work orders were sent to slip holders on February 15. If you wish to store your trailer for the summer, please make sure to submit a completed work order. Any additional services, such as boat cover installation, must be clearly written in on your work order. We are only able to complete the services specified on the work order, so please ensure all requests are listed. If you do not need trailer storage or any other services, please indicate "reject the contract" on your work order.
If you need to make changes to a work order that has already been submitted, please email me directly, and I will update the existing work order for you. Once a work order is submitted, it automatically enters our system, and changes must be made either in person by filling out a new form or via email. Unfortunately, we cannot accept verbal changes, as we want to ensure nothing is overlooked and all requests are accurately captured in writing.
If you would prefer to complete your renewal or work order in person, I’m happy to assist you. Please contact me ahead of time so I can ensure I’m available, as I occasionally work from home.
Thank you for your attention to these important details. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out
