Feedback
Annya Shapiro at Daly City Youth Health Center shares feedback about deliverable 1c(i) to implement outreach efforts/events to increase access to care:
"Last year we had a total of 54 self referred clients from the community who reached out on their own. This year, it's only been half a year and we have already gotten 51 self referred clients. So the tabling outreach we are doing must be working. Additionally, because we passed the incentive dollars on to our staff and interns, there is more variation in who is engaged in outreach-- the stipend incentivizes a wider range of staff to participate in outreach rather than it being primarily leadership. As a result we had staff and trainees who are more representative of the community doing outreach, which may have an impact on who is accessing our services. There is also less resentment among staff around doing outreach activities because it is financially incentivized."
The next round of Incentive Program deliverables is due May 31, 2025. For questions about the incentive program, email: HS_BHRS_ASK_CALAIM@smcgov.org.
