 Luck Flows Both Ways! Spin for a Discounted Adoption Fee
Consider this your lucky month if you’re looking to adopt a pet. County Animal Services is putting fate in your hands with its own Wheel o’ Fortune for pet adoptions. Give the wheel a spin to see your discounted pet adoption fee. This promotion runs through all of March.
The adoption fee can range from free to $17, puppies and kittens excluded, at both the South Shelter in Bonita and the North shelter in Carlsbad.

Contracting Opportunities for Community-based Organizations - The County of San Diego is looking for 10 non-profit, community-based organizations to bid for contracts as part of a new one-year pilot project to support County language services and community engagement. Applications will be accepted until April 1, 2025. Interested organizations can apply through the County’s BuyNet site, an interactive website for suppliers wishing to do business with the County.

NEW! Black Infant Health Program
The San Diego County Black Infant Health Program (BIH) is a FREE supportive service for pregnant women and new mothers who are at least 16 years of age and self-identify as Black or African American. BIH aims to improve health among eligible mothers and babies by empowering pregnant and mothering, Black/African American moms and make healthier choices for a brighter future. We accept participants at any stage of pregnancy and up to 6 months post-partum, regardless of income.

TrueCare Resources
Free Assistance for Health Insurance, Medi-Cal Enrollment, and Community Resources TrueCare can help you find the right plan and assist you in filling out the application for health insurance assistance programs in San Diego and Riverside counties. We can also help you apply for or report changes to Medi-Cal, Covered California, Medicare, and CalFresh. This FREE TrueCare service is available to anyone – even if you’re not a patient.

TrueCare Academic Success Program TrueCare’s Academic Success Program (ASP) refers struggling students for testing at a TrueCare location to identify and diagnose a learning disorder or other issues that may impact your child’s learning. Once a child enrolls in ASP, TrueCare providers use assessments to identify the issue and recommend an action plan for improvement.
