Placer County health clinic in Auburn transitions to Western Sierra Medical Clinic Nov. 10

On the agenda: Board of Supervisors meeting Nov. 8

The Placer County Board of Supervisors meets at its chambers in Auburn next week. The board will provide further direction to county staff developing a draft ordinance to regulate medical marijuana cultivation. They'll also consider purchasing a leased building in Rocklin currently housing several county services, as well as consider contracting with a private vendor to provide food service at our correctional facilities. Agenda

Daylight saving time ends this weekend

It's that time of year again! Remember to turn your clocks back one hour this Sunday, Nov. 6, at 2:00 a.m. The end of daylight saving time also serves as a good reminder to change out the batteries in all of your household smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.


I-80 lane closures this weekend through Sacramento

I-80

Heads up! Caltrans is alerting motorists to expect traffic delays of up to an hour on westbound Interstate 80 in North Sacramento this weekend. Select traffic lanes, connector ramps, and on- and off-ramps along I-80 will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, through noon Sunday, the 6th, weather permitting. Learn more
