Small Business Spotlight

Brethren Brewing Company Grand Opening on February 4

Brethren Brewing Company held a soft opening on January 11 and has scheduled its Grand Opening for February 4. The brewery was one of 21 grantees that received funding from the City’s Small Business Assistance Grant Program, where awards to downtown businesses were a priority.

Revitalizing Downtown

Residents and visitor are starting to discover Downtown Manteca’s new food and entertainment experiences, resulting in an increase in downtown visitation. Located at 220 N. Main Street, the brewery will be closed Mondays & Tuesdays, opening at 2 pm Wednesday-Friday and noon on Saturday and Sunday.

New Projects on the Horizon

Ambulatory Surgical Center Being Planned

Tenet Health submitted an application for the construction of a new one-story, 30,000 square foot office building. Click here for more.

Business Assistance Programs

Small Business Assistance Grant Program

The initial focus of the Small Business Assistance Grant (SBAG) Program was to aid local businesses with COVID impact recovery, improve customer attraction, and increase consumer demand and pedestrian traffic in the downtown district and retail corridors of the City.

To date, fifteen (15) grantees have completed projects for interior and exterior signage, awnings, windows, furniture, fencing, and landscaping, resulting in nearly $85,000 of capital improvements that were primarily focused on downtown revitalization.

Future Funding

The Economic Development Division looks forward to creating additional funding programs for the 2023 fiscal year. Keep an eye on our City website for future announcements. https://www.manteca.gov.
