Please Note: The disposal of property after the lien date does not relieve the owner of their responsibility. The lien date is January 1st. If you have disposed of the property or business, or you have moved prior to January 1st, please notify the Assessor's office at 559-675-7710.
Unsecured (Personal) Property Taxes are ad-valorem (value based) property taxes that are billed to the owner of record as of January 1st of each year. Because the taxes are not secured by real property such as land, these taxes are called "unsecured."
Unsecured (Personal) Property Taxes are taxes on boats, jet skis, aircraft, business fixtures, business furniture, business machinery, and include other assessments as well.
