On March 3, 2025, CalRecycle hosted an informal rulemaking workshop for the California Paint Product Recovery Program (Public Resources Code sections 48700-48707) and the changes made by Assembly Bill (AB) 1526 (Committee on Natural Resources, Chapter 848, Statutes of 2023) and Senate Bill (SB) 1143 (Allen, Chapter 989, Statutes of 2024). The workshop covered CalRecycle’s economic analysis for the rulemaking process and provided a list of questions for which CalRecycle is seeking additional data and information.
