Although all of our Thrivers are People of Color, we acknowledge that trauma and violence happens to everyone!
These are statistics that show the magnitude of violence:
Data from the CDC show that at least 38% of children have had at least one adverse childhood experience before 18, impacting children and families across racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups.
"A Story To Tell is part of PRC's "Healing Through Trauma" that provides safe spaces for participants to feel supported, connect in a non-judgmental and loving environment, and cultivate their leadership skills while exploring ways to impact their community positively," explained Kandee Lewis, executive director of the Positive Results Center. "
Positive Results Center received a two-year grant from Blue Shield of California Foundation, they support lasting and equitable solutions to make California the healthiest state and end domestic violence.
