Hosted in partnership with the Glendale Police Department and the Community Services & Parks Department, NNO is a community-focused event that brings neighbors together to build stronger, safer neighborhoods. This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow residents, share concerns, and discuss ideas for improving public safety in Glendale.
Youl will meet and engage with members of the Glendale Police Department, Glendale Fire Department, Community Services & Parks Department, Glendale City Council, and other City officials, who will be on hand to listen, answer questions, and connect with the community.

 Wading Pools
Wading Pools are small 1-2 feet deep pools designed for children 8 years and under. There are 4 wading pools throughout the city that are open for free drop-by use from June 15 through August 16 on a rotating basis. You can reserve a wading pool for your private party, too! We are now taking reservations for wading pool rentals through September, depending on staff and facility availability. Wading pools can be rented for your private birthday party or small gathering. Rates are $121 for the first hour of swimming, and $29 for every additional hour of swimming. You can also pay $52 to secure the designated tables close to the wading pool during your swim time.  Budget-Related CSP Updates
As part of the City Council-approved Fiscal Year 2026–2027 Budget and the City's ongoing efforts to address its budget shortfall, several cost-saving measures have been implemented within the Community Services & Parks Department.
The annual Summer Concerts in the Parks series at Verdugo Park will not be offered this year. Residents can still enjoy free live outdoor performances by attending the Brand Summer Music Series at Brand Park, presented by the Library, Arts & Culture Department.
Effective July 1, the Verdugo Skate Park is no longer staffed and is open for use at your own risk. To help ensure a safe experience for all users, helmets and protective pads are required at all times. Please note that the skate park lights will turn off promptly at 10:00 PM each evening. Skaters should plan to conclude their activities and exit the facility before that time. In addition, from July 6 through August 16, the skate park will be closed on weekdays before 3:00 PM to accommodate the City's Skate Camp program.

Glendale Sports Complex Solar Project
Construction update: Work is expected to be completed by mid‑July 2026
During this time, visitors should plan ahead when arriving at the Sports Complex. Parking availability is reduced, and portions of the lot may be temporarily closed. Visitors are encouraged to allow extra time before games and practices.
Overflow parking is available, with signage directing visitors to additional spaces. All pedestrian walkways and ADA-accessible routes will remain open.

Join the Trail Safety Patrol
As a Trail Safety Patrol (TSP) volunteer, you'll play a vital role in enhancing public safety and protecting resources across the city's parks. Your presence and assistance will help improve visitors' experience while ensuring a safe environment. The TSP consists of two units: the Mountain Bike Unit and the Hike Unit.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Complete a background check and City-mandated trail safety training
- Attend a First Aid/CPR certification course
- Be in good physical health
- Commit to a minimum of two hours per month

Participants can enjoy fitness classes that keep you moving and feeling great, including aerobics, slow stretch, Zumba, line dancing, yoga, and muscle toning. In addition, a range of drop-in activities provides opportunities to connect, relax, and have fun—from bingo, karaoke, and Senior Mixer events to billiards, bridge, woodcarving, pickleball, table tennis, knitting, book club, Color & Chat, and more.

The Glendale Youth Alliance (GYA) offers paid work experience opportunities for youth ages 14 to 24, empowering young individuals to gain valuable job skills and career exposure. GYA is especially committed to supporting youth who face barriers to employment, including foster youth, individuals with disabilities, those experiencing homelessness, parenting youth, and youth on probation.
Eligible participants are enrolled into the program, matched with paid job placements across diverse industries, and provided with comprehensive case management and mentorship.

The Verdugo Jobs Center (VJC) has received funding to assist individuals impacted by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) layoffs that began in October 2025. Through these resources, affected workers can access a wide range of workforce services designed to support career transitions and long-term employment success.
Available services include paid occupational skills training, career counseling, job search assistance, supportive services, and other workforce development resources. Whether individuals are seeking to advance their current skills, transition to a new industry, or re-enter the workforce, VJC offers customized support for professionals at all experience levels—from entry-level workers to highly skilled technical and professional staff. Indoor and Outdoor Parks Facilities
You can view availability of most facilities and book picnic and community building reservations online! Please visit MyGlendaleParks.com to book your picnic or community building reservation online and hold your preferred facility/date for a nonrefundable deposit of $50.00. Once held, a customer service representative will reach out to process your full payment and confirm the reservation. The deposit will be applied towards your rental fees at the time of confirmation.
We take reservations for rental of community center spaces, the Civic Auditorium, community buildings within parks, picnic areas, and wedding venues. Jumpers/Bouncers are allowed with a jumper permit and facility permit. We look forward to serving you and meeting your rental needs!
