Aerobics Days: Mondays and Thursdays Times: 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Aerobics classes are a fun and important part of any exercise program for older adults. Participating in aerobics for seniors can provide health benefits like increasing your range of motion, reducing blood pressure and stress, and aiding in weight loss. Aerobics classes can aid senior citizens in creating a sense of community, value, and purpose in addition to improving physical health. Additionally, the increased upper body and lower body strength that comes with a regular aerobics exercise routine can help with fall prevention.
Slow Stretch Days: Mondays and Thursdays Times: 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Low-impact exercises help protect joints. These exercises are a great starting point in building healthy rhythms of exercise. They can be a great way to warm up for a more rigorous day ahead.
Line Dancing Days: Mondays Times: 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Line dancing presents itself as a great form of exercise for seniors because it provides the benefits of an aerobic workout which helps maintain a healthy heart and also provides a platform to get involved in a social environment, which is great for mental wellness.
Zumba Days: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays Times: 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Zumba is an excellent low impact workout. It protects your joints and muscles while raising your heart rate and improving your balance, posture, and coordination. Zumba’s upbeat salsa beats will get your heart pumping and calories burning while dancing with your fellow peers.
Muscle Toning Days: Tuesdays and Fridays Times: 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Strength training and other exercises done regularly by seniors, not only builds up bone and muscle density, but also counteracts weakness and frailty that is usually associated with aging.
