Potential Project Modifications to Be Evaluated:
The Construction Authority will evaluate potential parking changes at the Glendora, San Dimas, La Verne, Pomona and Claremont Stations. The Authority previously approved parking structures at these stations. As a result of Project refinements and revised Metro parking provision guidance resulting from a parking study completed by Metro, the Authority is now considering whether a change to surface parking lots for the Glendora, San Dimas, La Verne and Pomona locations as well as either a parking structure at Claremont or a parking lot combined with leased parking space at Claremont is warranted. This would reduce the total number of available parking spaces at the various stations. At some of these locations, the potential change from a structure to a surface lot would result in minor changes related to the configuration of vehicle and pedestrian access. New or modified parking facility locations are being evaluated in Glendora, San Dimas and Pomona. The potential Project Modifications also entail scenarios that include interim and full build terminus station conditions associated with phased construction of the project as previously analyzed in the 2019 Supplemental EIR.
A copy of the Notice of Preparation for the SEIR, with details about the potential project modifications, can be found at www.foothillgoldline.org.
Public Comment Period
Written comments on the scope or content of the SEIR will be accepted if received on or before July 8, 2020. Please submit written comments to Ms. Lisa Levy Buch at the following address:

Over the past few months, Kiewit-Parsons JV (KPJV) and the Construction Authority have been working together to finalize the Glendora to Pomona Project’s Construction Baseline Schedule, which includes tens of thousands of activities anticipated over the next four years to complete the 9.1-mile, four-station project segment. These activities are scheduled in several major phases of work: pre-construction, design, major construction, testing and pre-revenue service. Every activity on the job is included in the Baseline Schedule.
The images below (click each to enlarge) are the latest updates to the Baseline Schedule, and they provide a good overview of what is expected and when construction may impact your neighborhood, including the grade crossing construction that will result in street closures throughout the corridor.

First Major Construction Activity Begins Mid-July at Gladstone St. in San Dimas
As seen in the recently approved Baseline Schedule, the first major construction activity involves the rebuilding of the railroad crossing at Gladstone St. in San Dimas. The activity was planned to begin in early August, but has been moved up at the request of the city to begin mid-July. This activity will require a full closure of the street at the railroad crossing for vehicles and pedestrians for three months. More information will be provided in the coming weeks on the work ahead, including available detours. Local access to homes, businesses, schools and medical facilities on Gladstone St., east and west of the closure, will be maintained at all times.
Below is a picture of KPJV crews potholing at the railroad crossing on Gladstone St. this week to investigate and verify underground utilities, in preparation for the upcoming major construction.
