Bayne Road No Parking Signs Update
We recently checked in with our transportation staff and received an update on this project. Staff is expecting the Traffic Advisory Committee’s recommendation for No Parking signs to be on the Board of Supervisor’s (BOS) agenda in early March. Once it's approved by the BOS, it should take 2-3 weeks to complete installation.

State Route 49 American River Confluence Study
The El Dorado County Transportation Commission (EDCTC) was awarded $175,000 in State Highway Account grant funding for the SR 49 Confluence Study. On September 2, 2021, EDCTC awarded the contract to DKS and Associates after completing an extensive procurement process. EDCTC staff, DKS, and Caltrans held the grant kickoff meeting on October 22, 2021. The initial work on this effort has begun including user analysis and data collection along SR 49. The consultant team has completed on-site data collection and assessments. The project team met on November 30, 2021 to finalize the branding and website design. On Friday January 28, 2022 the project team took a tour of the corridor and performed a safety audit.
The first stakeholder meeting and first public meeting are anticipated to be held in February and we will share detailed information when it becomes available.
On the 2/1/22 BOS meeting the Board approved an agreement with Mintier Harnish to assist the County with creating custom design guidelines/standards for new Commercial/Multi-Family Residential Design Standards for communities identified in County’s General Plan Policy 2.1.1.1 with a not-to-exceed amount of $306,615, and a term of three (3) years effective upon execution.
