Mid-year Budget Review Presented to the City Council
On Tuesday night, the City Council received the mid-year budget review. Overall, results are tracking to budget expectations. General Fund revenues are relatively flat, while expenditures are contained at about 2.2% under budget, mainly due to one-time savings that are not sustainable in the long-term. The City continues to face challenges with the State takeaway of property taxes, a primary source of General Fund revenue. Following the presentation, the Council approved revisions to the capital improvement and operational project budgets. Watch the presentation here.
