Twin Pines Park Belmont Creek Restoration Project & Twin Pines Park Storm Water Detention Basin Project
Exciting news, as project team members will make a presentation on the highly anticipated Twin Pines Park Belmont Creek Restoration Project and Twin Pines Park Storm Water Detention Basin Project at the Park and Recreation Commission on Wednesday, June 1st.
Ready and Resilient was this year’s Annual National Public Works theme, and the hard-working men and women of Belmont Public Works, Mid-Peninsula Water District, RethinkWaste, and Recology that hosted this event.
Booths were dappled throughout the meadow, and held information on water conservation, compost, recycling, water pollution prevention, Wildfire preparedness, Public Works projects, as well as displays for street light/sign evolution, a large watershed diorama, City vehicles on display, as well as a sewer jetting demonstration. The public had the opportunity to meet staff and learned the importance of the contribution of Public Works to their daily lives. There was no shortage of food, as the Public Works team once again provided the public with a BBQ to enjoy while visiting the stations.
