Hello,
First and foremost, I extend my deepest gratitude to our dedicated officers who tirelessly work to uphold the law and ensure the safety of our neighborhoods and business community. Their commitment and bravery are the cornerstones of our department, and we are immensely proud of their service.
In recent weeks, we have witnessed increased criminal activity, particularly related to copper wire theft and vehicle burglaries. We actively address these concerns through targeted enforcement efforts and strategic partnerships with other law enforcement agencies. This is an excellent reminder not to leave anything valuable inside your vehicles.
Combating crime requires more than just law enforcement intervention. It necessitates collaboration and engagement from all members of our community. I urge you to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities promptly. Your cooperation plays a crucial role in our efforts to maintain public safety; please live by our motto, “If you see something, say something!" Call us anytime at (707) 253-4451.
Winter is in full swing, and we have had a couple of significant storms recently. I want to thank the community for practicing good driving behavior in the inclement weather. Please continue to watch out for flooded and debris-filled roadways as we continue into the remainder of the winter months.
Additionally, February marks Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.
Lastly, I emphasize the importance of compassion and empathy in our interactions with one another. Building trust and fostering positive relationships within our community is fundamental to our mission as law enforcement professionals. Let us continue to treat each other with respect and kindness as we work together to create a safer and more inclusive environment for all.
Respectfully,
Rick Greenberg Chief of Police
